Our hens are certified and accredited to the following standards:
Organic Food Federation : Organic Certification UK4
A poultry house must be a structure with its own dedicated grazing, air space, ventilation, feed and water. The birds must have access to a free range area through pop-holes.
All birds must have access to free range areas whenever weather permits and this must equal at least one third of their life.
Standards are also set for stocking densities, birds per house perch length and outside range area. Other areas which are carefully monitored relate to disease prevention, vaccines and veterinary records.

RSPCA Monitored : Freedom Food.
The RSPCA welfare standards for laying hens have been developed to provide the only RSPCA approved scheme for the rearing, handling, transport and slaughter of laying hens.
The standards are based upon the “Five Freedoms” as defined by the Farm Animal Welfare Council; hence the name “Freedom Food”
